“He was filming in Adelaide. I told him, listen, let's hang out for a while because I'm on the Australian tour and I need to concentrate. He followed me on the bus to Canberra. I didn't get many runs in the two Tests. And I said, “What are you doing here?” And he said, 'I want to spend time with you.'
He continued:
“I told him you've got to focus on your career and I've got to focus on mine because I'm on the Australian tour and you know what that means. Anyway, we were leaving Canberra for Adelaide and he packed my suitcase.”
“Where are my shoes in the morning?” I was saying. He said, “I collected them.” “How would I get on the bus?” I asked. He said, “Wear mine.” She had these pink slip-ons on and I was like, “Oh my god.” I had to wear those pink slip-ons and I'd carry my bag in front of my shoes to hide them, and the kids saw it and clapped for me until I got flips—flops there.”
Yuvraj Singh was recently named the ICC Global Brand Ambassador for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
