India's best batting

The West Indies bowlers struggled to contain the Indian batsmen. Deandra Dottin, Afy Fletcher, Zaida James and Qiana Joseph each managed to take a wicket, but they did not fare well against the Indian attack.
Hayley Matthews' only fight
Chasing a daunting target of 359, West Indies relied heavily on skipper Hayley Matthews to anchor their innings. Matthews smashed a strong 106 off 109 balls, with 13 fours, but got little help from his teammates.
Early wickets helped the visitors as Qiana Joseph (15) and Nerissa Crafton (13) were dismissed at low cost. Shemaine Campbell chipped in with 38 runs, and Zaida James added 25, but the lack of big partnerships hurt the chase. A low contribution from Afy Fletcher (22) provided a brief resistance, but the team was bundled out for 243 in 46.2 overs.
Indian batsmen were medical in defending their numbers. Priya Mishra was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets for 49 runs in her 9.2 overs. Titas Sadhu, Deepti Sharma and Pratika Rawal took two wickets each, while Renuka Thakur chipped in with a wicket each. A good batting performance keeps West Indies from getting closer to their target.
