Next year is almost over. How old is it?
England is short again; Liverpool upgrade Jurgen Klopp Manchester City could hold their sway and we saw England's decline before we experienced more chaos and frustration at Manchester United.
So what will 2025 bring? Here are our (in some cases wild) predictions for the next 12 months.
1. Liverpool will be able to go undefeated for the rest of the Premier League season.
Arne Slot has succeeded Klopp at Anfield and emerged head and shoulders above the rest, bringing a calmness to Liverpool's best form.
The Merseysiders have lost just once in the league this season – a shock setback at home to Nottingham Forest in September – and defeat in May will be the only marker.
Liverpool, Manchester City We have to go to Aston Villa and Chelsea, but nothing to worry about.
Slot's men will finish the title in April.
2. Guardiola will leave Manchester City at the end of the season.
He recently signed a new contract with the club until June 2027, but will be sacked by Guardiola in May after Manchester City's failure to qualify for the Champions League.
The Catalans have been showing visible signs of stress in recent weeks and will be picking up the option to leave after winning trophies at the Etihad.
But with Xavi named as his successor, Barcelona's dominance will continue.
3. English clubs will win all three European Cups.
After missing out on yet another Premier League crown, Arsenal will turn their attention to conquering Europe. Mikel Arteta's side will go on to win the Champions League after defeating Real Madrid in the final.
Tottenham will do the north London double by winning the Europa League as Ange Postecoglou sticks to his principles and maintains his all-out attacking approach.
And Chelsea should invest in their squad and win the conference league as the competition is pure rubbish.
4. Xabi Alonso will take place at Real Madrid.
Real Madrid will have a bye after finishing third in La Liga behind Barcelona and champions Atletico Madrid and failing to retain their Champions League crown.
Former Madrid midfielder Alonso will step down after his success at Leverkusen.
His first move was to confirm Liverpool's free transfer signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
5. Declan Rice is the England captain.
Harry Kane's continued underperformance for his country saw his influence on the team diminish, losing his starting place in the process.
New coach Thomas Tuchel will stamp Rice as his permanent captain at the Three Lions.
After Arsenal's Spurs were handed a relatively simple qualifying group for the 2026 World Cup, England have impressed off the pitch by winning every game in 2025.
