Antony's agent reveals Man Utd stance on January transfer


Manchester United winger Antony's agent has revealed that the club have given no sign of wanting to leave in January. tRANSFER window.

An £82million signing from Ajax in 2022, Antony has failed to live up to expectations and has lost his place in the squad under former manager Erik ten Hag, with current boss Ruben Amorim refusing to bring the Brazilian back into his squad initial.

Consequently, the reports have confirmed united have already decided to cut ties with Antony when the winter transfer window opens.

While Antony's agent, Junior Pedroso, confirmed that he had spoken to other clubs about a possible move in January, he revealed that United have shown no desire to pursue a move.

“Yes, many clubs have approached us about moving Antony in January,” he said Fabrizio Romano. “These clubs wanted to understand the situation for Antony, so I can confirm that there is concrete interest.

“To be honest, Manchester United have never expressed any interest in selling or loaning Antony to us. We have never received this kind of communication until now. Man Utd executives have never told us that they want Antony to leaves, despite the reports we see around about our client”.

However, Pedroso admitted they would be prepared to listen to United if the Red Devils suggested a January loan move from Old Trafford.

“I can say that Antony's future is very much linked to the interests of Manchester United,” continued the agent. “If the club feels it would be a good idea to loan Antony out in January so he can get more minutes and regain his confidence, we will work together on that option.

“Otherwise, Antony is working hard to regain his place and show his best skills under new coach Ruben Amorim.”
