'He wasn't in the closet, he was in the hallway' – 50 Cent details the incident when Diddy wanted to take him shopping.

50 Cent recently opened up about his experience when he was asked to go shopping with Diddy. While speaking with Andrew Schulz on the Flagrant podcast on December 16, 2024, 50 Cent got into a funny conversation with several other guests.

First, Andrew asked Cent what was going on with Diddy, and the rapper replied:

“The last thing I saw, there was like a guy, he pushed me into a truck. It really hurt. I thought I could find other things to do.”

At one point, Andrew asks Gent about it the answer when she asked Gent to go shopping in real life, she gave it to Diddy. The rapper said that he tried to distance himself from Didi and continued:

“We gotta have fun right now. Let's sit down like you know. So I don't know man, I'm taking you to the store and just flashing you. I can shut up and I was looking in and I said let me just walk away from it because to win I'm confused.”

Cent reminded that the shopping request came at the same time record executive Chris Lighty was getting married and added:

“They let certain things go because it was Puff, they looked like they were going to say something, and it wasn't in the closet, it was in the hallway.”

50 Cent said he felt a different energy when Diddy invited him shopping

In August of this year, 50 Cent appeared in another chat with The Hollywood Reporter where he talked about Diddy asking him out shopping. Cent called it a strange request and added:

“I'm just like, 'Naw, I'm not into this weird energy or weird sh*t,' I get out of the way he's acting. So I wasn't comfortable around him.”

Cent pointed out that he and Diddy weren't friends because their relationship was only business. He further stated that if neither of them spoke at all, they would not be disappointed in each other.

50 Cent and Diddy have reportedly had issues with each other over the years. According to Cosmopolitan magazine, the duo's troubles began in 2006 when Diddy refused to release Mase from his contract with Bad Boy Records in order for Cent to join G-Unit.

Cent responded by releasing a diss track titled Hip-Hop This hinted that Diddy was well aware of the person who killed The Notorious BIG in 1997. However, issues between Cent and Diddy were later resolved and they also performed with Jay-Z a year later.

Diddy is currently dealing with a number of legal issues after he was arrested from a Manhattan hotel on September 16, 2024. Charges against her include sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation for prostitution.

His trial is scheduled for May 5 next year and is being held in court Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, according to CBS News.
