Indian national cricket team player Mohammed Siraj did not have a great day on the field in the ongoing match against Australia national cricket team. The Boxing Day Test between the teams is underway at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne.
Mohammed Siraj, who took the new ball with Jasprit Bumrah, could not make an impact early and has so far failed to take wickets in the match. The fast bowler didn't even bother the batsmen and the runs came quite easily against him.
Not just with the ball, but Mohammed Siraj was extremely poor in the field. The Indian national cricket team's pacer has made sloppy efforts on the field and the latest came on the first ball of the 67th over when Jasprit Bumrah bowled Steve Smith.
Jasprit Bumrah bowled a delivery that was pitched outside off. Steve Smith stroked it past extra cover and it looked like it was going to be just a single, but Mohammed Siraj came up with an extremely poor effort as he didn't time his slide correctly.
This allowed Australia's national cricket team to score three runs as Mohammed Siraj's bad day on the field continued.

Mohammed Siraj's poor fielding effort came as a blessing in disguise for India as Jasprit Bumrah removed Travis Head for a duck
Mohammed Siraj's poor effort on the field has come as a blessing in disguise for the Indian national cricket team. He allowed Travis Head, who had just come into bat, to face Jasprit Bumrah early in his innings and the batsman could do no wrong with the bat in play.
Jasprit Bumrah bowled the stumps of the batter and sent him packing for a duck. The first pacer picked his second wicket in the form of Travis Head and followed it up with the wicket of Mitchell Marsh to bring the Indian national cricket team back into the match.
Jasprit Bumrah once again struggled to get support from Mohammed Siraj in the ongoing series. The latter looked torrid with the ball and in the first 13 overs, he did not pick a single wicket, which is a big cause of concern for the Indian national cricket team.
Top 4 Australian batsmen slam half centuries to put their team on top
Earlier in the day, the Australian national cricket team won the toss and elected to bat first. Debutant Sam Konstas set the scene on fire as he attacked the players of the Indian national cricket team and slammed a brutal half-century on debut, putting the visitors on the back foot.
Along with him, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith also slammed half-centuries. The Australian National Cricket Team is in the driver's seat in the game as they easily crossed the 280-run mark.
