Nick Kyrgios has labeled the doping allegations against Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek as “disgusting” for tennis.
Men's No. 1 Sinner twice tested positive for an anabolic steroid in March but avoided a ban after the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) found him not guilty.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has appealed the decision, and Sinner still faces a potential suspension.
Swiatek, now the women's world number two, accepted a one-month suspension in November after testing positive for the banned substance trimetazidine.
The Polish woman was the first in the world to provide a sample containing the angina drug trimetazidine in an out-of-competition test on August 12.
He says he does not expect an appeal from WADA.
“Two world No. 1s both doing for doping is disgusting for our sport. It's a terrible look,” Kyrgios said.
“Tennis integrity right now, and everybody knows it, but nobody wants to talk about it, it's terrible.”
Like Sinner, Swiatek's brief provisional ban was only announced after the outcome of the case was determined, with the 23-year-old citing her three-tournament absence to personal matters and a coaching change.
This has led to more accusations of a two-tier system, with star names receiving preferential treatment, something the ITIA and tennis authorities strongly deny.
Sky Sports contacted the International Tennis Integrity Agency, which decided not to comment.
