In a disappointing change of captaincy of Team India Rohit Sharmahis struggles continued in the fourth Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). After a difficult performance, where he managed just 3 and 9 runs in both innings, fans took to social media to express their frustration, with many saying it was time for him to retire.
Another tough day for Rohit Sharma
Rohit's dismissal came early on Day 5, in the 16th over of India's seconf innings. Facing the first ball of the over, chased Pat CumminsRohit tried to shake off the delivery on his stump and straightened up a bit. Unfortunately, he only managed to create a prosperous future.
The ball flew to the gully, where Mitchell Marsh caught a fish surprisingly. At first, Marsh tried to return the ball over his head, but it went out of his hands. In a display of passion and exceptional awareness, Marsh made a quick adjustment to catch the ball close to his left shoulder, completing a superb finish.
The elimination marked another victory for Cummins, who again scored better than his no. Rohit, who looked settled during his 40th ball and seemed to have settled into his innings, was dismissed in just 9 overs. This win was exactly what Australia needed at that time of the game, as it had dampened Rohit's tenacity early on. India's latest skipper adds to his strike rate of 31 runs in five innings in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, at an average of 6.2.

He dropped Shubman Gill who was India's second highest scorer this year
He replaced KL Rahul who was doing well in the opener

Earlier in the day, Australia ended their second innings on 234 with Nathan Lyon (40 off 55) being the last man dismissed. India need to chase down 340 to take a 2-1 lead in five matches and keep their hopes of the World Test Championship (WTC) final alive.
