Liam Harrison Muay Thai: 'It actually brought me to tears'


Every fighter goes through a time when they feel that training sessions are tougher than full-on fights, and Liam Harrison is no exception.

British Muay Thai and kickboxing legend Rajasak recalled being reduced to tears while training under Sor Vorapi.

Harrison wrote on Instagram that the multi-time world champion at the Rajadamnern Stadium stood him up when he first moved to Thailand as a 19-year-old teenager.

As Harrison saidRajasak was a calculated coach who knew when to push him to the limit while testing his tenacity for striking arts.

Liam Harrison wrote:

“This guy is serious G. If you don't know, shame on him. Golden age legend with 300 fights, never KO'd, three-time Rajadamnern champion and the worst trainer I've ever worked with.

He added:

“He had me in tears one day and I'm not ashamed to say it. I was 19 when I was living in Thailand and I was training for a world title fight with a real strong clincher. He was fighting every day from 3pm.” He wouldn't leave me alone to make sure I was in the best possible place physically to fight a strong knee fighter, and one day he started training me at 3pm and had me still in the ring at 7:45. He beats me, knocks me down and fills me up.”

This tough love eventually developed Harrison's mentalitywhich he used in his legendary career.

Considered the greatest British striker in history, Harrison is a multiple Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion with 90 professional victories.

Liam Harrison has often toyed with his short-lived retirement, but by the time he got in, he had already laid the groundwork. ONE Championship circle in 2025.

'Hitman' said in an interview with the propaganda that he wants to stay as active as possible as long as he doesn't get hurt during his fights.

“If I can do it, if I can stay active, if I can stay injury free, I think I can do it. We'll go one fight at a time and decide how I feel.”
