Liverpool coach Arne Slott said rivals Manchester United are a better team “than what appears in the league table” as the two teams prepare to meet at Anfield on Sunday.
Sloat's debut season has been a revelation so far, with Liverpool six points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
United sacked Erik Ten Hag in November and appointed Ruben Amorim, but he found life difficult under the former Sporting coach.
A string of poor results has left United in 14th place – just seven points above the relegation zone and 23 behind Liverpool.
“They have much better players than the league table shows at the moment,” says Slott. “It may take a while for Ruben Amorim to get that out of the players, but they are much better than what the league table shows.
“We all know how much pressure this job brings. It's something we love.
He added: “As I said, he did well at Sporting and I think he has a good squad of players, so he will get the best out of them in the end.”
“A great, great player”
As always, Slott was questioned about Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah, who all have contracts expiring at the end of the season.
Alexander-Arnold has once again been linked with a move to Real Madrid this week, while Slott was asked if Salah is the best player in the world at the moment.

The striker has been involved in 30 Premier League goals already this season, scoring more goals (12) and providing more assists (six) against United than anyone else in the Premier League.
“I think it's hard to compare players,” Slott said.
“If you just look at my team, Virgil (van Dijk) is also having a great season but he doesn't have the numbers because he's a defender.
“The best players in the world have a lot of great qualities. Virgil has a lot of intelligence in his game.
“Mo's numbers speak for themselves. If you simply look at the numbers and the way he plays, he is definitely a fantastic, fantastic player.”
Team news
Sloat confirmed that English defender Joe Gomez will be absent for at least a few weeks due to a hamstring injury, but Connor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate have returned to training.
Konate and Bradley have been absent from the team since November, but would be welcome additions to the squad.
“They have worked hard to get back into the team. The next step is how they handle the team sessions,” Slott said.
