Liverpool set up Ben Doak asking price after bids from Crystal Palace and Ipswich


Liverpool will demand at least £30m to part ways with winger Ben Doak, according to a report.

The highly-rated Doak has impressed during his Championship loan spell with Middlesbrough and was i subject to a £15m bid from Crystal Palacewho saw their approach quickly rejected on Friday.

Athletics state Ipswich Town then tested Liverpool's resolve with £16m Offers for the teenager, but the Reds again made it clear he was not available for such a price.

Liverpool see Doak as the best player in England's second tier and have high hopes for him in Arne Slott's first team. As a result, The Independent claim he has been hit with a price tag of at least £30m.

Crysencio Summerville's £25m move from Leeds United to West Ham United last summer has been used to generate Liverpool's asking price, with Doak believed to be worth far more than the £15m offered by Palace.

Liverpool hope to leave Doak with Middlesbrough for the remainder of the campaign before making a new decision on his future in the summer.

Doak's short-term career could be linked to that of Mohamed Salah, whose public pressure on the club over his expiring contract continued on Friday with a insisting he is in his final year at Anfield.
