Team India fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has given a massive update on skipper Jasprit Bumrah's injury scare after Day 2 of the fifth Test of the Border-Gavaskar series in Sydney. Prasidh Krishna said Jasprit Bumrah has suffered a back spasm and the medical team is monitoring him for the must-win game in the series.
Bumrah left the dressing room and the stadium midway through the second session on Day 2. After playing just one over after lunch, the pace bowler did not return to the field. With Bumrah's absence, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna took over the pace bowling for India in bowling in Australia.

Jasprit Bumrah seemed to be holding his back as he stepped out and was seen changing his training gear. The right-arm pacer had to come off the field for scans and was escorted by support staff to a squad car. He later returned to the Sydney location and went straight into the dressing room.
Prasidh Krishna confirmed in a press conference that Bumrah experienced a back spasm. He added that the medical team is monitoring Bumrah's condition. Krishna mentioned that the medical team will provide further updates on his condition.
“He had back spasm. The medical team is monitoring him. He had a scan. The medical team will update,” Krishna told reporters.
