Chelsea's poor run of form continued on Saturday as they again conceded late on to fall to a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Chelsea wasted little time in stamping their authority in the first half and were ahead 14 minutes into the game through Cole Palmer's superb side. He collected a summary from Jadon Sancho after a dazzling solo run and shot past Dean Henderson.
palace were much stronger in the second half and gave Chelsea a scare soon after the restart. Malo Gusto, Levi Colwill and Josh Acheampong all had to make a series of impressive blocks to deny Palace's lively forwards.
With nine minutes to go, Palace's pressure got the reward it deserved. A mistake from Palmer was punished as Eberechi Eze put in a cross to Jean-Philippe Mateta, who could hardly miss from a few yards out to earn Palace the point they deserved at least.
