Legendary India captain Sourav Gangulyhis daughter Sana Ganguly was involved in a major car accident on the night of January 3 (Friday). However, Sana survived a close call and was safe in the end.
The accident happened during the night when Sana's car collided with the bus in Behala Chowrasta area, Kolkata, West Bengal. Sana was sitting in the front seat with the driver beside her.

Sourav Ganguly's daughter suffers a serious car accident
While the car driver was driving carefully, it turned out to be the bus driver's fault. According to a report in Bengali daily Anandabazar Patrika, the bus driver was detained after the accident.
While Sana Ganguly is safe, her car suffered some damage and the window was found to be broken. It's clear that the impact of the accident was huge, but Sana was thankfully safe in the end.
The report claimed that the bus driver was at fault for rash driving. The driver was apparently driving the bus in a reckless manner which led to the accident. The car could have even overturned during the accident, but the car driver was alert enough to avert a major accident.
After the accident, the bus driver tried to flee but was successfully chased by the driver of Sana Ganguly's car near Sakher Bazar. The police were later called by Sana and immediately detained the bus driver. While Sana was safe, her car sustained some serious damage.
Who is Sana Ganguly?
Sana Ganguly is the only child of former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly and his wife Dona Ganguly. In terms of education, Sana holds a degree in Economics from University College London.
According to her LinkedIn profile, she currently works as a consultant at INNOVERV, a boutique consulting firm in London. Before joining INNOVERV, he worked as an intern at Deloitte.
Sourav Ganguly is out of IPL 2025
Meanwhile, Sourav Ganguly is currently the Cricket Team Director of the Delhi Capitals women's team in the WPL. He was earlier the director of cricket of Delhi Capitals men's team in the IPL but was removed from the position after the GMR group took over from the JSW group.
As a result, he will no longer participate in the next season of the Indian Premier League, but will be involved in the previous Women's Premier League. Sourav Ganguly is also the Director of Cricket of Pretoria Capitals in SA20 and will be involved in the upcoming season as well.
Sourav Ganguly is regarded as one of the best captains India has ever seen. The former India skipper captained the attack and India saw the rise of many great players under his leadership.
Under Ganguly's leadership, India won the Natwest Trophy in 2002 and also reached the final of the 2003 ODI World Cup, where they lost to Australia. Ganguly also led India to a historic home Test series victory in 2001 which also involved the famous Kolkata Test.
