Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has urged Jack Grealish to reclaim his place in the starting XI for the season.
The 29-year-old played a vital role in City's 2022-23 campaign, playing 50 games in all competitions.
Grealish led the team to the Premier League, Helped them win the FA Cup and Champions League, scoring five goals and providing 11 assists.
Despite his previous success, the England international has struggled to make an impact this season.
Grealish was left on the bench in Saturday's 4-1 Premier League win over West Ham, with Brazil winger Sergio Aguero taking his place in the starting line-up.
The City manager has made it clear that he expects Grealish to prove his worth and fight for his place in the team.
“Savinho is doing everything better than Jack.” So I played Savinho,” Guardiola explained.

“Do I want Jack to win all three? Yes, I do, but I try to be honest with myself about it. They've fought. It's fair to say.
“It's fine if you think that, but you have to (prove to me) 'OK, I'm going to fight with Savinho, I'm going to play to deserve that position', every day, every week, every month.”
Grealish's season has been hampered by injury problems and his chances have been limited. He has only started 6 league games so far.
Despite his recent struggles, Guardiola expressed confidence in the player's performance.
“He was injured two weeks ago and he needs to play with rhythm, but the players need training,” Guardiola said.
“There's no doubt about Jack's quality or these players. (Otherwise) I wouldn't be here.
“I saw him and I knew he could do it. I want to see his level and every training session and every match.”
Manchester City will resume FA Cup action on January 11 when they host fourth-tier side Salford City.
