Mohamed Salah has posted a cryptic tweet as the contract dispute continues.

Mohamed Salah kept the pressure on Liverpool this afternoon with a tweet revealing three big-name players who are out of contract at the end of the season.

Salah's tweet did not contain any words, but simply a picture of himself. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk were all allowed to leave Anfield in June.

Salah's choice of image cannot be a coincidence as he continues to seek his new public deal to remain on Merseyside.

Salah said there was no progress.

The normally media-shy Egyptian has said more than once that a deal has not yet been reached and last week said he expected to leave within five months.

“There is no progress there,” he told Sky Sports. The prospect of contract renewal. “We are far from progress. We'll just have to wait and see.

“In my head, if this is the last six months, what do I want to see in the future? Do you want to look back and say, 'I was worried or stressed about the contract?'

“Or do you just want to say, 'I had an incredible season?' That's all in my head. If you ever feel down, just look back and remind yourself that you had an incredible season.”

Another trophy

Salah said the 32-year-old midfielder was hoping for another trophy during Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Liverpool yesterday, having scored a goal from the penalty spot.

“My motivation this year is to win trophies, and in particular the Premier League was a big part of it,” Salah said when discussing the squad assembled by Jurgen Klopp ahead of Arne Slot, who won trophies including the 2018/19 Champions League. and the 2019/20 Premier League.

“Trent, who still has half of (that) team like me. Virgil, Alisson, Robbo (Andy Robertson). We need to win more trophies before we go.”
