Luke Littler has only been world champion for a few days but is already targeting more titles in 2025, including becoming back-to-back Premier League champions.
Littler made history on Friday night at Alexandra Palace by becoming the youngest ever winner of the World Darts Championship at the age of 17, surpassing his opponent Michael van Gerwen's record of winning it aged 24 against Peter Wright in 2014.
Before picking up the biggest prize of all and fulfilling his destiny, Littler had an incredible first year as a professional, picking up 10 titles including the Premier League and his first major tournament at the Grand Slam of Darts.
In the 2024 Premier League final against Luke Humphries, Littler hit nine darts to send the O2 Arena crowd wild and is clear about his ambitions to keep that trophy in his cabinet in 2025.

“Yeah, if I could go back, it would mean the world,” Littler said.
“Ahead of that (2024), I thought I would be happy to be in the top four, but obviously I finished first because of the way I played.
“But I'll just have the same mindset, if you get into the play-offs that's all that matters and just do your best at the O2.”

His Premier League nine-darter was one of four hit by 'The Nuke' in 2024, equaling Gerwyn Price's record of nine from 2022, and he admits he would have liked to have broken that record at the World Cup.
Still, Littler knows time is on his side and if he can win “11 or 12” titles in 2025, world number one could quickly be in his sights.

“I would love to hit a nine-dart at the World Championships and obviously try to finish 2024 with five nine-darts, but it's not going to happen, so obviously that's another record I can try to break for years and years ,” Littler added.

“When you're playing that well, you can feel the nine coming.
“Now I'll just recharge my batteries and chill, but people will see that I'll be hungry for more titles this year and hopefully I can go one better and win another 11 or even 12.

Luke Littler said he would love to take the trophy to Old Trafford and was glad he beat Stephen Bunting in the semi-final, otherwise he would have taken it to Anfield!
“Obviously if I can add more money to the rankings, we all know how much Humphries defends, that's a heck of a lot of money.
“But one more thing, I can't wait to play in the World Cup with him. Maybe at the end of 2025 I can see myself as number one.”
