The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been at the center of a storm with Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen making explosive claims about the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) lack of commitment to the league. Sending shock waves to the cricketing world, Ali Tareen claimed that the PCB is not fully supporting the PSL, treating it more as a burden than an asset.
Despite the financial benefits of the Pakistan Super League, the Pakistan Cricket Board views its own national franchise league as a franchise-controlled entity rather than a joint cricket society, according to Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen. Tareen noted that there are snakes throughout the PSL.

The Multan Sultans owner also claimed that internal politics and ego clashes within PCB are hindering PSL's growth. He also revealed that decision-making is influenced by personal agendas rather than merit. He openly claimed that the PCB doesn't really care about the PSL, leaving it all to the 'snakes'.
Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen said on Relukattay's YouTube channel, “PCB has the least control, even though they have total control, but the least control they have is over PSL. There are franchises and others involved. They are tired of it. They want us to do what we want. We do what we want. And this whole matter of PCB, which focuses on domestic leagues, domestic players and people are engaged in PCB throughout the year.”
They have monetary benefits from the PSL, but the snakes' egos are at stake: Ali Tareen
Tareen also remarked, “PSL lasts for one month in a year, so they don't care about PSL. PCB does not feel PSL is ours. They feel these are franchises. They have TV time. They receive benefits. We do not receive any benefits. So they don't care. They have monetary benefits from PSL, but the snakes' egos are at stake. If you bring in people on merit, they will receive benefits. They will think logically. There are snakes in the entire PSL. They make decisions.”

Tareen pointed the finger at PCB, blaming the handling of Ihsanullah's situation for this tragic result. He concluded by saying, “I am very sad for Ihsanullah. He recently met with the expert. And he said, “I can do the surgery, but no matter what I do, there's so much of his previous surgery.
“No matter what I do. and he will never be able to bowl the same way because he doesn't have a right arm'. Because of PCB, Ihsanullah's arm will never become perfectly straight. So, it is so unfortunate. It is a very unfortunate story , but that's Ihasanullah will never be able to be a 150 km/h bowler again.”
