Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen are all among the stars in the Premier League darts line-up for 2025.
The tournament will take place on Thursday evenings from February to May, as the sport's top stars battle it out for the coveted title and £1m prize money.
Littler and Humphries are part of an eight-man field that also includes Van Gerwen, who is chasing a record eighth Premier League crown, and 2019 runner-up Rob Cross.
We take a closer look at the players chasing one of the biggest trophies in sports…
Luke Humphries
PDC Order of Merit: 1 st
last year: Runner Up (2024)
PL best: He emerged as a contender in 2019 and was runner-up to Littler in last year's final
Walking Song: 'I Predict A Rebellion' by Kaiser Chiefs
Humphries dominated darts in late 2023, winning four tournaments in three months to jump to the top of the world rankings.
'Cool Hand' kicked off his impressive run with his first World Grand Prix title, then followed that up at the Grand Slam of Darts a month later by winning the Players Championship final.
Humphries claimed the biggest win of his career by securing his first world title against teenager Littler in 2024.
He then won the World Cup for England in June alongside Michael Smith and made history at Blackpool in July by becoming only the second player after Phil Taylor to win a World Cup and a World Cup in the same year.
His year ended with a shock loss to Mike De Decker in the final of the World Grand Prix, an early elimination in the group stage of the Grand Slam of Darts, and then a loss to Peter Wright at Alexandra Palace in December.
Luke Littler
PDC Order of Merit: 2nd
last year: The winner
PL best: Winner (2024)
Song walk: 'Greenlight' by Pitbull featuring Flo Rida and LunchMoney Lewis.
Littleru made his Premier League debut last year after his sensational run to the World Cup final, where he captured the imagination of the sporting world with his outstanding debut performance at Alexandra Palace.
The then 16-year-old became the youngest player to reach the final where he lost to Humphries, but in 2024 the Warrington star won 10 PDC titles, including the Premier League title on debut, where he hit an incredible nine-dart. in an 11-7 loss to Humphries.
He continued his remarkable journey by winning the Grand Slam of Darts title and the World Series Final before cementing his status as the game's biggest star with a 7-3 world championship victory over Michael van Gerwen.
Littler also won the Bahrain Darts Masters, Poland Darts Masters, Belgian Darts Open and Austrian Darts Open, as well as hitting four nine-darts, taking his earnings to over £1.5m in prize money in just 13 months.
Michael van Gerwen
PDC Order of Merit: 3rd
last year: Semi-final
PL best: Winner (2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023)
Song walk: 'Seven Nation Army' by The White Stripes.
Van Gerwen has achieved more success at the event than any other player in its history and the 'Green Machine' is now looking to add to his record tally of seven titles.
The Dutchman is making his 13th consecutive appearance in the Premier League. He has only finished outside the top four once, meaning Van Gerwen will once again be among the pre-tournament favourites.
He did not win a televised tournament in 2024, the first time in a calendar year since 2011, and was surprisingly dismantled by 17-year-old Littler in a one-sided world championship final.
Rob Cross
PDC Order of Merit: 4th
last year: 6th
PL best: Runner-up (2019)
Song walk: 'Hot Hot Hot Hot' by Arrow.
The 2018 world champions return to the Premier League in 2024 after missing out on the previous two editions, having finished as runners-up in two major TV events.
'Voltage' made an impressive run to the semi-finals of the World Championship last year before being beaten by Littler, his best result since winning the tournament. He suffered an early exit from the 2025 World Championships, losing to Scott Williams in the second round.
After winning titles at the US Darts Masters and the Baltic Sea Darts Open, Cross is back and is set to make his sixth Premier League appearance.
Wildcards go to…
Stephen Bunting
PDC Order of Merit: 5
last year: DNP
PL best: 8. (2015)
Song walk: 'Titanium' by David Guetta
Is Bunting the People's Champion?
'The Bullet' made a fantastic start to the 2024 season after beating Van Gerwen to win the Masters, Bunting's first TV PDC title.
His World Cup semi-final is enough to propel him into the Premier League for the first time in 10 years after finishing eighth in 2015.
Expect the crowd to chant “Let's go Bunting mental!” when the players hit the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on the 12th night.
Gerwyn Price
PDC Order of Merit: 9
last year: 7th
PL best: Runner Up (2023)
Song walk: 'Ice Ice Baby' by Vanilla Ice
'The Iceman' endured a nightmare debut campaign in 2018, suffering elimination without a win to his name, before back-to-back fifth-place finishes in 2019 and 2020.
He hit two nine-darters on an incredible night in Belfast in the 2022 campaign, where he finished seventh, and then produced his Premier League best in the 2023 event when he finished runner-up to Van Gerwen.
Having made the final in Cardiff on Night One last year, he would be feeling positive about the season ahead, but has since made just one more final in Manchester nine weeks later, losing to Littler.
Chris Dobey
PDC Order of Merit: 10
last year: DNP
PL best: He appeared as a candidate in 2019 and 2020, and in 2023 he was seventh.
Song walk: 'Getting Ready To Rumble' – PJ & Duncan
Chris Dobey will make only his second Premier League Darts appearance after reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup for the first time.
Dobey had a rather disappointing 2024, but a big win over Gerwyn Price in the quarter-finals at Alexandra Palace saw him reach the last four, where he lost to Van Gerwen.
Hollywood won three Players Championship titles last year, including a 9-hole in April, and is a former Masters champion.
Nathan Aspinall
PDC Order of Merit: 11
last year: 5
PL best: Runner Up (2020)
Song walk: 'Mr Brightside' by The Killers.
Aspinall, runner-up to Glen Durrant on his full debut in 2020, returned for a third consecutive Premier League appearance.
'The Asp' had previously struggled with injury but then bounced back to end his four-year wait for a second major TV title when he defeated Jonny Clayton to win the 2023 World Matchplay for the biggest win of his career.
The Stockport star reached the semi-finals of the Masters and then reached the quarter-finals of the World Championships where he was beaten by Littler.
