Guro Reiten has extended her contract with Women's Super League (WSL) club Chelsea until 2026.
Blues fans will be delighted to hear that the Norwegian star will stay at Cobham for another two years Chelsea triggered their option to extend her contract on Tuesday. Reiten has made 177 appearances for the west London club since putting pen to paper for the first time in 2019.
Reiten has since become a fan favorite, scoring 32 goals in 102 WSL appearances. Since her arrival, the 30-year-old has been an integral part of Chelsea's domestic dominance, helping the team to five successive league titles.
The attacking midfielder recently took home the WSL Player of the Month award for November after an emphatic start to the 2024/25 season. Despite a strong start to the current season, fans will never forget Reiten's heroic display in the 8-0 win over Bristol City that helped Chelsea reconcile their title hopes in 2023/24.
Reiten is closing in on 100 international appearances for Norway, scoring 21 times for his nation. The electric striker has represented her country at two FIFA Women's World Cups and two European Championships, and will be keen to rectify Norway's disappointing form in Switzerland this summer.
Chelsea are back in action this weekend as they host Charlton Athletic in the fourth round of the Adobe Women's FA Cup.
