David Warner hasn't had the kind of start he would have liked to the innings, is hit on the head after his bat breaks
However, Warner did not have the kind of start he would have liked for his innings. The batsman was at the receiving end of a hilarious but ugly knock early in the innings that left many in splits. The incident happened during the 4th inning.
Riley Meredith bowled a full ball and Sydney Thunder skipper Warner went hard on the way. He miscued the shot to mid on, but what caught the eye of many was when the ball hit his bat, his bat snapped with the handle out of place.
What was even more bizarre was the momentum of the bat swing, nearly knocking him back in the head. Warner, at first, did not know what had happened and play was stopped for a while before the batsman changed his bat and continued to bat.
