Prior to Faf du Plessis from Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) the team, fans are eagerly thinking about who will lead the team in the future Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 weather. Faf, who was in charge of RCB for the last three seasons, was bought by Delhi Capitals in the 2025 IPL big deal, leaving a huge leadership gap in the team. The contestants for this position are none other than Virat Kohliwho had previously led RCB by a margin in previous seasons.
RCB head coach's response to the management's opinion
RCB head coach Andy Flower has said what is being discussed about the new captain of the team. Although Flower accepted the growing interest, he emphasized that the decision has not been made, he said that it is the beginning of three new years, and emphasized the importance of patience when the results are visible, while saying that the wait will be interesting.
“Well, you have to wait for the results. It is a new season that we are going, the beginning of three years, and I believe that the prospect will be good for you,” Flower said in an interview with Sports Tak.
He also said that the discussions regarding the captaincy of the team have not been done yet despite asking many times. “You can always ask me as much as you want, but the connection is not done,” added Flower.

RCB captaincy decisions
While Kohli is considered to be the most suitable manager, due to his talent and long history of leadership, RCB have several other players who can step up. The team has players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Krunal Pandyaboth have the ability to lead domestic cricket, especially the underdogs.
Another possible way would be Phil Saltwho has been the captain of the England T20I team. With so much leadership talent in the team, RCB have several options to consider as they look to build a competitive IPL 2025 squad.
