Ric Flair gives a big update on his upcoming months in the ring after leaving AEW

Ric Flair's legendary career may not be over. The legendary performer recently gave a big update on his future in the ring.

Ric Flair is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He has been involved in wrestling for several decades. Flair got his first taste of retirement when he lost to Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24 in 2008. However, this was not the end of his career as he returned to the ring a year later and even competed for TNA Wrestling until 2011.

After 11 years away from the ring, he returned for another match in 2022. He was joined by his son-in-law. Andrade vs. Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. The match was nearly fatal for the Nature Son, but he was able to walk away unscathed. Despite this, he appeared for AEW and was in Sting's corner during their retirement match. The veteran was even physically involved in the match. However, Flair left the company shortly after without competing in a match of his own.

During a recent interview on the Five Star podcast, Flair was asked if he had one more match left in him. Nature boy replied:

“Hell yes I do.” (H/T Fightful)

Ric Flair explained why Tony Khan wouldn't let him compete in AEW

Ric Flair joined AEW to be part of Sting's farewell tour. But he was almost never involved until the end. There were teases of Flair getting physically involved in the tag team, but he never got in the ring to compete.

This left fans hoping to see Naitch back in the ring a bit disappointed. However, Flair explains why he was never allowed to compete AEW.

The WWE Hall of Famer said this on the same podcast Tony Khan refused to allow him to compete after he found out he was taking blood thinners.

“Tony (Khan) wouldn't let me in the ring after he found out I was on blood thinners,” Flair said.
