Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was disappointed after the FA Cup defeat to Manchester United and said Gabriel Jesus' injury did not look good.
The Gunners had more than 70% of the possession in 26 of 33 shots between the teams in the Premier League third-round tie at the Emirates Stadium, and exited on penalties after a 1-1 draw with 10 men.
“I love my players, “It's very difficult to ask for anything else than their performance, so we can't be proud,” Arteta told BBC Sport, calling his team “unbelievable”.
“I love how good they are and what they do because out of 1,000 games (like this) you should lose one and (this time) it was this one.
“Unbelievable. It's worth winning by a mile, but the reality is we're out. That's the only thing to judge.”
All square. The pace of this is changing very quickly.
Gabriel scored the equalizer.

Arsenal vs Manchester United
Bruno Fernandes showed the visitors a yellow card in the 52nd minute and Gabriel equalized two minutes later after being sent off for a second yellow card.
Martin Odegaard was booked in second half normal time as part of a remarkable performance by United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir to deny Declan Rice.
Arsenal striker Kai Havertz was the only player to miss a shot as Turkiye international Bayindir was brought down.
“It's football… you need things to go and that didn't happen tonight,” Arteta raved. “When you go to penalties, you know it could go either way with the flip of a coin.”
Joshua Zirkzee kept his cool as Manchester United progressed to the next round. Bad drama!

Gabriel Jesus injured
Arteta's side are now without a win in three games in all competitions, losing 2-0 at home to Newcastle in the EFL Cup semi-final first leg five days ago.
After being replaced by Raheem Sterling after 40 minutes against United, Jesus is unlikely to help Arsenal's form any time soon.
The Brazil forward missed 16 games last season with knee and hamstring injuries and will undergo knee surgery in the 2022/23 season.
“It doesn't look good without updates,” said the 27-year-old Arteta. “He was in a lot of pain. I had to come off on a stretcher and it didn't look good.”
