The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is scheduled to begin on March 23, 2025. The start date of the prestigious cricket tournament in India has been shifted by more than a week. However, there has been no announcement regarding the final date yet.
The decision to change the start date was announced by BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla. This decision is believed to have been taken during BCCI's special general meeting where the board formally appointed its new secretary and treasurer.

IPL 2025 will start on March 23
The start date of IPL 2025 was March 14 earlier. While talking to reporters after the BCCI SGM, Rajeev Shukla announced that the tournament will now begin on March 23, though he did not reveal the change in dates for the playoffs and final.
