Chelsea predicted line-up against Bournemouth

The Chelsea faithful have enjoyed plenty of blows this season, but they would no doubt enjoy a more emphatic triumph over Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

The Blues go into their next clash with Bournemouth without a win in four Premier League games. A 5-0 thrashing of EFL opposition at the weekend ensured a few smiles were put back on faces after a difficult few weeks, but eyebrows will reappear if their winless run in the league is extended against the Cherries.

Tinkerman Maresca was heavily rotated for the visit of Morecambe at the weekend, with big changes expected again despite Chelsea's comfortable win.

Here's how the blues can line up.

GK: Robert Sanchez – Filip Jorgensen will take little more than a clean sheet against Morecambe to replace Sanchez as Chelsea's number one.

RB: Malo wants to – Reece James returned to the starting line-up on Saturday and in contention to feature in midweek. However, Maresca will have to be careful with his captain given his injury problems.

CB: Tosin Adarabioyo – The senior centre-half delighted at the weekend, scoring a rare brace. Bosman's arrival has proven to be a good addition to this Chelsea squad, and he has filled in capably for Wesley Fofana over the past month.

CB: Levi Colwill – Only three Chelsea players have amassed more minutes than Colwill (1,709) this season, with the centre-back exclusively starting Premier League games.

LB: Marc Cucurella – Renato Veiga was not a threat for Cucurella, but the arrival of the summer looks set for a quick departure anyway. The Spaniard is one of Maresca's favourites.

CM: Moises Caicedo – Caicedo is the most used Chelsea player this season, and his importance to the Blues has become clear in his second year. He scored from the first half in this match to close 2023/24.

CM: Enzo Fernandez – It won't be long until Maresca brings back the Caicedo x Lavia pivot to the Premier League with the latter having recently returned from another injury setback. Like James, however, the midfielder will be eased back in and Fernandez will start alongside Caicedo on Tuesday.

RM: Pedro Neto – There won't be many who will save the country from Saturday's victory, but Neto can with Noni Madueke suffering from an illness.

AM: Cole Palmer – Palmer has benefited from the size of Chelsea's squad, with Maresca retaining his flair for this competition. The England playmaker has 19 contributions in 20 games this season and has continued to produce amid the Blues' recent slump.

LM: Jadon Sancho – Sancho has emerged as Maresca's preferred option on the left wing, but it will take an increase in production to win over another demanding fan base. The winger has contributed eight goals this season.

ST: Nicolas Jackson – The Chelsea striker has been out of sorts over the past month and is in desperate need of a goal. Maresca probably should have given him some minutes on the weekend, but he instead heads into Tuesday's game fresh (and shy).
