Newcastle United are looking to make history on Saturday lunchtime when they host Bournemouth in the Premier League.
The Magpies secured their ninth consecutive victories in all competitions on Wednesday after triumphing over Wolves, with three points against Bournemouth setting a new club record for consecutive wins. Stars striker Alexander Isak is chasing his own record, having already scored in eight consecutive league games, with Jamie Vardy's 11-match scoring streak currently the benchmark.
After a mediocre start to the season, the Magpies are now firmly in the frame for Champions League qualification, having risen to fourth in the table. They sit above Chelsea and Manchester City in the table following their revival.
However, Bournemouth will be challenging customers and are enjoying an impressive run themselves. Unbeaten in their last ten games in all competitions, they know victory at St James' Park will move them within a single point of their Tyneside opponents as Andoni Iraola continues to mastermind the climb of Cherries despite the relentless damage.
Here it is 90 minutes guide to Newcastle vs. Bournemouth.

Newcastle will be keen to see Fabian Schar return this weekend after missing the win over Wolves through illness. Jamaal Lascelles also continues to be absent at centre-back, while Nick Pope is still sidelined with a knee injury.
Injury-prone Harvey Barnes finds himself in the treatment room once again after picking up a thigh injury during the weekend's win over Bromley in FA Cup. He is expected to be out for a month, while Callum Wilson also remains unavailable with a hamstring problem.
Newcastle predicted formation against Bournemouth (4-3-3): Dubravka; Submission, Botman, Schar, Hall; Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Murphy, Isaac, Gordon.
Bournemouth are facing an injury crisis, with James Hill joining the treatment room after the midweek trip to Chelsea. He joins fellow right-backs Julian Araujo and Adam Smith on the flanks, with Marcos Senesi also absent in defence.
Alex Scott, Enes Unal and Evanilson are all long-term absentees having undergone surgery, although the former is nearing a return. Marcus Tavernier and Luis Sinisterra are also out, leaving Iraola short on attacking options.
Bournemouth predicted formation against Newcastle (4-2-3-1): Kepa; Cook, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez; Christie, Adams; Brooks, Kluivert, Semenyo; Ouattara.
With Newcastle in such incredible form and Bournemouth plagued by injuries, Eddie Howe's side must manage their record tenth consecutive win in all competitions. The Cherries fielded an almost entirely young bench against Chelsea and their stripped-down squad is likely to go up in smoke.
While Bournemouth have the ability to break Newcastle's drive. the form of Isak, Anthony Gordon and the Magpies' strong midfield should lead them to victory. After struggling to score early in the season, they have now scored two or more in their last 11 games and should score a few more on Saturday lunchtime.
