Nottingham Forest continue to defy expectations this season and can extend their eight-match unbeaten run when they welcome Southampton to The City Ground.
Nuno Espirito Santos' side had won seven on the spin before Tuesday's 1-1 draw with table leaders Liverpoolresults that have strengthened their place in the top four. Champions League qualification remains a distinct possibility for the Midlands club, who have been remarkably consistent this season.
Forest should have little trouble dispatching Ivan Juric at bottom-of-the-table Saints, who have lost all but four of their Premier League games this season. The Tricky Trees have built solid defensive foundations that are unlikely to be penetrated by the division's lower scorers, while their clinical attacking unit is prepared to punish a porous and disjointed back line.
Here's how forest could line up for Sunday's affair.
GK: Matz Sels – The Belgian put in a remarkable performance to earn Forest a point in midweek against Liverpool, producing a series of sensational stops in the closing stages to deny the likes of Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo.
RB: Ola Aina – Aina was just as important at Forest in securing a hard-fought draw on Tuesday night, clearing the line from Salah's deflected effort on the dying embers. The Chelsea academy graduate has been one of the best right-backs in the division this season.
CB: Nikola Milenkovic – A transformative signing at the heart of the defence, Milenkovic has been unbeaten since arriving in the Premier League last summer.
CB: Murillo – It's easy to see why young Murillo has frequently appeared in the gossip columns over the past year, with the 22-year-old Brazilian producing a magnificent performance against the division's most prolific side in midweek. He was the man of the match after a committed and stubborn performance.
LB: Neco Williams – Williams got on well with former team-mate Salah on Tuesday night and made some crucial late tackles to deny his old employers.
DM: Ryan Yates – Danilo's return from a long and painful injury was celebrated last weekend, but Yates has been hugely impressive in his absence. The combative midfielder delivers commanding, no-nonsense performances every week.
DM: Elliot Anderson – The summer recruit has been in fine form himself and stood out in midweek against an excellent Liverpool midfield. It offers impressive balance in the engine bay, effectively protecting the rear four and providing offensive support.
RW: Anthony Elanga – Elanga's fiery pace has caused many problems for the defense this season and Southampton He is unlikely to relish a battle with the Swede. He assisted Chris Wood against Liverpool with a defensive pass.
AM: Morgan Gibbs-White – The Forest playmaker has scored three goals and provided as many assists since the start of December. You'd fancy his chances of opening up Southampton's defense regularly this weekend.
LW: Callum Hudson-Odoi – Hudson-Odoi hasn't scored since early November, but his energy and trickery will cause problems for Juric's side.
ST: Chris Wood – The ruthless New Zealand international scored his 13th goal Premier League goal of the season against Liverpool, producing a typically clinical finish at Alisson's best.
