The player had earlier expressed his desire to see teammates Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan join him in the trademark celebration if he manages to take five wickets during West Indies' chase in Multan.

Sajid lived up to his promise, picking up a crucial five-wicket haul to help the hosts successfully defend a target of 251 runs in the two-match Test series opener. The West Indian off-spinner's stellar performance dismantled the West Indies batting line-up as the tourists could manage just 123 runs and the hosts secured a one-sided win in the Multan Test on Sunday.

Pakistan Cricket shared a video on the official X handle, where Sajid Khan can be seen doing the famous celebration, while he was joined by the captain, Mohammad Rizwan, and Babar Azam. Rizwan and Babar were seen replicating Sajid's celebration as the trio shared some heartwarming moments in Multan which are going viral on social media platforms.

Meanwhile, Sajid Khan was adjudged Man of the Match for his impressive nine wickets in both innings in the first Test against the West Indies. He also admitted that it was a spin-friendly pitch, offering ample turn and bounce, and the spinners exploited it effectively at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

Sajid said at the post-match presentation, “The wicket had a lot of spin and bounce. The spin bowling coach spoke to me and in the second innings I bowled a bit slower and didn't concede too many runs as I conceded runs later during the first innings.

Nauman Ali talks a lot with me as he is very experienced. We didn't want to give away points in the second half and that was great. I wanted to bat well. But I went for the inside-out shot and it didn't come out. Obviously, the shot was not on this pitch (smiles).”

Remarkably, Sajid crossed the milestone of 50 Test wickets for Pakistan in just his 11th match. He reached the milestone at an average of 27.73 and has three four-wicket innings and four five-wicket innings so far in the longest format of the game.

In six home Tests, Sajid claimed 34 wickets at an average of 31.03, including three five-wicket hauls, while he claimed 21 wickets at a remarkable average of 22.71 in five away Tests. In addition, Sajid has an impressive record in first-class cricket with 294 wickets to his name.
