Defending 349, Karnataka's bowlers showed great courage and tactical awareness on the easy batting pitch. Koushik led the attack with figures of 3/47 in his 10 overs, using variations to trouble the batsmen. Krishna, though expensive with 84 runs in his innings, delivered the breakthrough, including the dismissal of Vidarbha captain Nair. Shetty contributed three wickets, including the valuable scalps of Shorey and Dubey at critical moments. Shreyas Gopal he dominated the middle overs, scoring just 55 runs in his 10 overs despite going wicketless. Karnataka's performance was sharp, with key catches and runs ensuring that Vidarbha did not win. Their ability to maintain composure in death matches ensured a memorable and honorable victory.
