Tottenham Hotspur They are considering a big move in January for a striker whom Ange Postecoglou is said to be a fan of, according to a new report.
Tottenham's injury hits their strikers
Spurs are perhaps having their worst season in recent memory. The Lilywhites currently sit 15th in the Premier League and just eight points above the relegation zone, have not won in the top flight for over a month and have lost seven of their last nine.
Ange Postecoglou's side have also been plagued by injuries for almost the entire season, with key players such as Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero missing large chunks of the year, and injuries are now more prevalent in the squad.

The latest addition to the club's growing injury list is striker Dominic Solanke. The striker, who has scored 11 goals in all competitions for Tottenham since his summer move from Bournemouth, missed Tottenham's 3-2 defeat to Everton at the weekend, and it was subsequently confirmed that he injured his knee during training and is expected to participate. Sidelined for several weeks.
“It was just him trying to shoot and his knee twisted. It's just one of those things that, unfortunately, we're going through at the moment,” Postecoglou explained after the defeat to the Toffees. He added: “We will find out the full extent of it. We hope it is not too serious, but it will definitely keep him out of action for a few weeks.”

To fill the gap left by Solanki's absence, Tottenham are now looking to sign Ipswich Town star Liam Delapwho has been one of the outstanding strikers in the Premier League this season. According to TeamTALK, Delap is admired by Postecoglou, and Tottenham are open to making a move for the 21-year-old this month.
The publication claims that Tottenham will face significant competition for Delap's signature from London rivals Chelsea, however, club president Daniel Levy would be reluctant to pay a large fee for the Englishman, which could be a potential obstacle to a potential switch to north London on the verge of completion.
Meanwhile, Ipswich are unwilling to let Delap, who has scored eight goals for the Tractor Boys this season, go in January, but TeamTALK report that a suitable offer could force them to rethink. Delap's rumored price has been set at around £42m – Which is £23m less than Tottenham paid for Solanke in the summer.
Delap has received plenty of praise for his performances this season, including from Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca, who he used to coach as a youngster at Manchester City.
“Liam is a fantastic player, also for his age.” Mareska said last month. “I think we spent one year together and he scored (about) 22 to 24 goals. He's a very good striker.
“England has many good players and many good strikers (but) he does his best without the ball and on the ball, understands the game and can score goals. I think he can be an important player for England,” he added.
