Chelsea extended their dominance at the top of the table while Manchester City dropped to fourth after a derby disaster. Arsenal and Manchester United have already locked horns in the race for second place as the relegation battle heats up.
Five new Everton recruits made their debuts in blue, with Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Liverpool the others to welcome new faces to their ranks.
Making the move to Merseyside from Manchester United, Hayley Ladd quickly made his debut for the Toffees since signing two weeks ago. The Welsh midfielder started for Brian Sorensen's side and put in a strong performance against Aston Villa at Walton Hall Park.
A late equalizer from Veatriki Sarri in the 89th minute was enough to rescue a point for Everton, keeping them five points above the relegation zone. The equalizer came nine minutes after Ladd was withdrawn.
The minutes are exactly what Ladd needs ahead of Euro 2025 with Wales in the summer. Having only received eight WSL minutes at United in the first half of the season, the grass is already proving to be greener.
Replacing Ladd in the 80th minute, Louna Ribadeira's brief 10-minute display at Walton Hall Park showed glimpses of a positive start to her Toffees career. It was Ribadeira's effort inside the area that gave Sarri the opportunity to eventually score the equaliser.

On loan from Barcelona, Martina Fernandez was not expected to get her first start on Merseyside. The 20-year-old defender was tested against the formidable Rachel Daly and looked to get on top of the battle as the England striker opened the scoring in the 31st minute.
Despite conceding early on, Fernandez was quick to bounce back and made an impressive WSL debut for the home fans.
Another Toffees incoming made her WSL debut as Kelly Gago came off the bench to replace Toni Payne in the 54th minute against Villa.
The French striker put pen to paper after arriving from FC Nantes, where he spent just one season, before moving to England's top flight.
Sorensen was desperate to strengthen in the offensive areas after Aurora Galli and Inma Gabarro devastatingly tore ACLs earlier in the season. Gago looks to be a good fit for the depleted squad, and despite failing to score against Villa, she is just getting started.
Completing the quintet of Everton debutants was Emma Watson, who signed on loan from Manchester United for the remainder of the 2024/25 season. The midfielder was given his chance in the 54th minute, replacing Katja Snoejis in the center of the park.
18-year-old Watson was Sorensen's third signing of the transfer window and she will be hoping to get significant minutes before returning to Carrington in the summer.
In terms of a high-stakes debut, facing your old club just a week after your departure is certainly one way to get your first cap. Lize Kop did just that, starting between the posts for Tottenham Hotspur against her former employers Leicester City.
The Dutch goalkeeper left the Foxes after struggling to get the number one jersey. Kop put in a solid performance at Brisbane Road Stadium, while her former team-mate Janina Leitzig scored the own goal that gave Spurs the home win.
The reliable ball will be integral to Robert Villahamn's Tottenham side if they are to improve on a positive 2023/24 campaign.
It was a debut that Rebecca Knaak will want to forget after Man United's derby day win over Cityzens at the Etihad Stadium. Defensive errors were the main cause of concern for Gareth Taylor's side, with Knaak certainly not immune to the odd mistake.
Despite facing a 3-0 deficit in the early stages, City were able to score twice before half-time. Knaak scored her first goal in blue, heading in City's second goal of the evening.

The Scotland international has been struggling to break into Alexander Straus' starting eleven and will be hoping her time in the WSL sends her on the right track in her development.
Liverpool will certainly benefit from Kerr's arrival, as the 25-year-old provides real control and composure in the center of the park.
