As advertised, Donald Trump His second inauguration as President of the United States took place on Monday, the same day as the CFP Championship game. After being sworn in in the morning, the 47th president gave a message during the game Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Battle Ireland.
During halftime of the championship game, ESPN interrupted its broadcast to show a political statement from Donald Trump. The address lasted about 1:30 minutes and only briefly mentioned the game.
Trump began his message by hailing this “historic and exciting day” for the country and outlined what he expects from his second term.

“Our people have suffered greatly in recent years, but starting now, we will take America back and make it safer, richer and prouder than ever. We will have a nation full of compassion, strength and exceptionalism.
“With our power and might we will end wars and lead the world to peace. We will be respected again and admired again, admired like we haven't seen in years. We will put America first and in doing so we will make America great again.
Trump sent a message to both teams in the national championship game.
“To all the players and fans watching tonight, I know it's been a long, hard road. It's been a long season, but you've got two great teams and come in, come out, fight hard, fight fair and let it get better.” team wins and I'm going to enjoy watching it, thank you and good night,” Donald Trump said.
The president was not at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the message was pre-recorded.

Although not known as an avid football fan, Trump has attended college football games before. Most notably, he has appeared in past Army-Navy games, including this season's edition of the game. He too Appeared in the Alabama-Georgia game in September.
During his first term as president, Trump also attended the Alabama-Georgia game, which was the national championship game that season.
