“2024 was not kind to me”

The promising AEW star has been out of action for quite some time. He has now given an update on himself.

Anthony Henry first made his AEW debut in 2021 on an episode of Dark when he faced Eddie Kingston. His performance was admirably good Tony Khan and win him a contract offer. Since then, he has been featured regularly on AEW TV and ROH. Just as he was starting to make a name for himself, on October 3, 2024, he suffered a biceps injury in a match against Gabe Kidd at the ROH Series at HonorClub. He has not been seen on television since then.

During a recent interview AEW UnlimitedAnthony Henry reflected on his time away from the ring. The SPIRIT star noted how 2024 was a difficult year for him due to injury.

“2024 hasn't been kind to me, obviously. It's weird because I've never had a serious injury in the 22 years I've been doing it,” he said.

Henry later detailed how he felt when he tore his bicep off the bone in a match with Gabe Kidd.

“It was pure pop like it came off the bone. But I didn't feel it, that's the strange thing. I didn't have any injuries, I didn't have any injuries.” Henry added. (H/T Ringside News)

AEW star Anthony Henry is back in the ring

Anthony Henry's injury couldn't have come at a worse time for the AEW star, as he was starting to build a reputation in ROH and Collision. Last year, he entered the ring against such famous stars as Wheeler Yuta, Kyle O'Reilly, Daniel Garcia and others. Ethan Page. He's been out of action for a while, but fans will be happy to hear that his return might not be too far away.

Anthony Henry revealed this during the same interview had just entered the ring and engaged in chain wrestling. He also believes he'll be fine if he's back in the squared circle.

“Yesterday was my first time in the ring, I was just kind of playing” he said. “Nothing crazy, we just wanted to walk around and do some chain wrestling. Everything was fine, it was so real that if I wanted to be in the ring right now and really cleaned up, I think I would be fine.”

It will be interesting to see when Anthony Henry is cleared to return to the ring.
