Birmingham retained five points advantages in relation to Wrexham in the League Improvement Race 1 after the unresolved score 1-1.
Wrexham took the lead on RaceCourse Ground on Thursday night, since Oli Rathbone fired them in front of them early. Birmingham soon then returned them to the naked Lyndon Dykes.
The result means that Birmingham increased the advantage to the second-placed WyCombe on three points, with Wrexham.
Birmingham, with 57 points, also played a match less than Wycombe (56 points) and Wrexham (52 points).
Divided loot on the racetrack
Wrexham opened after only nine minutes. Ollie Palmer has tumbled the Taylor Gardner-Hickman from the ball deep on the territory of Birmingham, and Rathbone picked her up before he carried out a beautiful blow outside the penal area in the lower corner.
After 18 minutes Birmingham was equalized. The corner was deeply remote and Dykes returned him to the goal before he hit George Dobson at the entrance.
Wrexham is imperial at home this season and showed that power as they fought for the winner in the second half.
Birmingham has a goalkeeper of Ryan Allsoppa to thank the point, especially for fine defense in 64. minutes to prevent James McClean head from the corner at closer tripod.
Managers
Phil Parkinson from Wrexham:
“I thought we really started and got a fantastic goal from Olia. Always disappointed received and we could have better with their goal. He probably collapsed it a little.
“Little, I thought we replied great in the second half and we had many matches like this in which we put the teams in and came. But it didn't really fallen on us tonight.
“But in terms of what we ask of guys: Wishing, Dedication and Energy, we got all that.”
Chris Davies from Birmingham:
“Mixed emotions. I thought we were very good at the first half in spite of the naked and answered.
“We were very quiet, we took control of the game again and scored a good goal from Set. I liked how we looked at that half. I thought we were very much threatening and gave them very little.
“In the second half we had a few moments, but we didn't have the same control I would like to have. And in the end we got out and hard to fight to the point, and we'll take it.”
