Boxing results: Avioou Griffin stops Jose 'El Guero' Luis Sanchez


The invincible aviou Griffin stopped Jose 'El Guero' Luis Sanchez in the eighth round for the empty WBC USA Welterweight Title on Thursday night at Sony Hall, New York.

In the main event, Welterweight Griffin, 17-0 (16), stopped Sanchez, 14-5-1 (4), at 2:46 from the eighth round of 10 rounds for the empty WBC USA Welterweight title.

In the first round of Midway, Griffin landed his left hook after the right on his chin and down Sanchez down for the 8th count of Shawn Clark judges. He could reach the bell mainly by concealing. In the second round of Midway Point, Griffin lowered Sanchez to the right on his chin for 8 numbers from Joe Antume's judge. In the last seconds, Griffin landed right on his chin, lowering Sanchez for the third time by 8 more numbers from the judges. Griffin also pulled blood out of Sanchez's nose.

In the third round, Griffin continued to dominate the game against Sanchez. In the fourth round, Griffin mostly surpassed Sanchez. Halfway, Griffin drove Sanchez to the ropes with a combination. The remaining minute, Griffin complained after the conflict of the heads. In the last seconds, Sanchez landed the last shot to the right on the beard of Griffin.

In the fifth round, Griffin continued to surpass Sanchez, who did his best to keep up with him. In the last twenty seconds, Sanchez has landed his best struggle of the fight, the right to Griffin's body. In the sixth round, Sanchez returned well if not enough to conquer the circle. In the last seconds, Sanchez slid on the canvas. This may have been his best circle so far. Before the next round, the ring doctor examined Sanchez.

In the seventh round, in the last seconds, Griffin swinging Sanchez right on his chin. In the eighth round, Griffin continued to lead him to Sanchez, injured him when Judge Clark entered him, waving him.

Junior Welterweight Jason 'The Joker' Castanon, 2-1 (1), won a majority decision over Stephen Barbee, 0-3) during four close circles.

In the first round of former MMA boxer Barbee, which has the former world champion in the lightweight category of Paul 'Pittsburgh Kid' Spadafor in his corner as his coach opened halfway in circle after he and senior Castanon mostly rolled.

Previously undefeated junior southern Jugpaw 'King' Koby Khalil Williams, 4-1 (3), lost by the majority decision that Southpaw Nick 'Truth' is Isaac, 6-0 (4), during six rounds.

In the first round, six rounds scheduled with four due to two fights on the passing card. Both were well bouncing each other, and Isaac had a little edge, landing a little more against the higher Williams. In the second round, Isaac surpassed Williams mainly with an effective stitch, with Williams at the end of receiving.

In the third round, as well as the previous round, Isaac was still tiring than the two. In the fourth round, Williams had some swelling under the right eye from Isaac's sting. Like the previous circles, Isaac surpassed Williams, continuing with another circle.

In the fifth round they both started more than previously scheduled four. Both were supposed to step up and they did it in the middle, opening each other on each other. In the sixth and last round, Isaac dominated the circle, looking like a winner.

The results were 60-54 by all three judges.
