Aston Villa will play against Everton and will have to rotate the away form.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery says his side must find a way to compete away from home as they prepare to take on a David Moyes-reinvigorated Everton side.

Moyes returned to midfield this week and took charge of an Everton side in desperate need of points in the Premier League.

Villa have had an exciting season under Emery, especially in the Champions League, but their away form has cost them recently. Villa are unbeaten in their last five Premier League away games, their worst run since losing their last seven away games in 2015-16.

Emery said: “Every game we play is difficult. Playing away is more difficult.

“Our challenge tomorrow is how we can compete away from home as we haven't picked up points in our last away games in the Premier League.

“Everton have a new manager and I think they're certainly very motivated, along with the crowd and the players. Excited with Moyes too. In the past, he was a very successful coach there with them, but our match, We have to try and focus on the game plans.”

Villa sit four points behind the top four in midweek's schedule despite travel sickness and are well placed to challenge again at the top of the table.

Emery has injury problems with defender Pau Torres and midfielders John McGuin and Ross Barkley injured.

He said: “Barkley is more or less 2-3 weeks. McGinn will need at least a week to familiarize himself with us more or less, be available to train and play, and Pau Torres longer.

“He's going to need another six or eight weeks.”
