A member of Jon Moxley's Death Rider faction took a major hit at a major event. The reigning AEW World Champion will not be pleased with the loss of his stablemate.
The Death Riders member is a former WWE star Claudio Castagnoli (Fka Cesaro). After failing to advance to the semifinals of the Continental Classic 2024, Claudio headed to Japan for the Wrestle Dynasty event. He was set for a one-on-one fight against Shota Umino at the Tokyo Dome.
Umino was also his close friend and partner John Moxley in Japan. However, Moxley was one of the reasons for the quarrel between Shota and Claudio. Speaking of the fight, both Castagnoli and Umino put on a strong performance in the ring and the match ended with the latter celebrating the win with a Deathrider DDT.
AEW World Champion Claudio Castagnoli won't be happy about losing to his former partner Shota Umino. The match at Wrestle Dynasty likely planted the seeds for a future match between Moxley and Umino.
Time will tell when the 27-year-old will face The Death Riders leader and current AEW World Champion for the final match after defeating Claudio Castagnoli at Wrestle Dynasty.
