Indian national cricket team captain Rohit Sharma will not travel to Pakistan for the opening ceremony of ICC Champions Trophy 2025. According to reports in ANI, BCCI has not decided anything in this regard and the call will be taken soon.

The wait for ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is slowly coming to an end as the tournament is less than 40 days away. The eight-nation tournament will be played in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates and is set to begin on February 19, with the final scheduled to take place on March 9.

Ahead of ICC Champions Trophy 2025, PCB is planning to host the opening ceremony of the tournament. The ceremony is tentatively scheduled to take place on February 16 or 17 and as per ICC norms, all the captains of the participating teams must be present there.

Reports claim that Indian national cricket team captain Rohit Sharma will also travel to Pakistan for the opening ceremony of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This has become a trending news in the cricket world with many reactions coming to it.

But a BCCI source claimed that Rohit Sharma will not travel to Pakistan for the opening ceremony of ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He said that he is waiting for the announcement of the team and only after that the decision will be taken. Speaking to ANI, he said:

“Rohit Sharma will not travel to Pakistan, first let the team be announced, then we will look into it. No decision yet.”

Rohit Sharma who is traveling to Pakistan for the opening ceremony of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has become the news as the Indian National Cricket Team will not travel to Pakistan for the tournament. The event was recently given the green light to be played in the Hybrid model.

The Indian national cricket team will play their matches in the United Arab Emirates, while the rest of the matches will be played in Pakistan. A semi-final and final will also be played in Dubai if India makes it there, but if it doesn't happen, then the final will be played in Pakistan.

The Indian national cricket team will open their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign against the Bangladesh national cricket team. The match between the teams will be played on February 20, followed by Pakistan on February 23.

They will then take on New Zealand on March 2 in their final league match. The Rohit Sharma-led side would be hoping to go one step ahead of last time, where they finished as runners-up.
