Qualifying for UEFA Women's Euro 2025 has now concluded and the full line-up of nations heading to Switzerland in the summer has been confirmed.
The hosts will be joined by Spain, France and Germany in the first pot, while EnglandItaly, Iceland and Denmark make up the second pot. The Netherlands, Norway, Belgium and Sweden will all be eliminated next year, while Sweden, Finland, Portugal and debutants Poland and Wales were among those who booked their place through the play-offs in early December.
England are the reigning champions after defeating Germany in the final in 2022. On the other hand, Spain enters the Euro 2025 edition as world champions after winning FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 last year.

There are a number of strong contenders in line to compete at next summer's Euros. England, as mentioned, are the reigning champions and were World Cup finalists last year.
However, they were pipped to the trophy by Spain, who have looked extremely strong since then and will be determined to add the Euro trophy to their growing cabinet. However, theirs performance in the Olympic Games over the summer failed to live up to expectations and exposed potential chinks in their armour.
Germany were finalists in 2022 but endured a difficult World Cup campaign last year. They have enjoyed something of a resurgence in 2024 with an Olympic bronze medal and secured a thrilling 4-3 triumph over the Lionesses in October in what was Christian Wuck's first game in charge of the team.

Whether it's Alessia Russo, Salma Paralluelo, Kadidiatou Diani or Klara Buhl – there will be plenty of strikers hoping to grab the golden boot next summer. Russo's goalscoring form has been hit and miss for England in recent international breaks, but Arsenal star will back himself to hit form on the big stage.
Beth Mead won the award at Euro 2022 as England cruised to victory, but the 29-year-old is not the clinical force she was before her ACL injury. Elsewhere, although a midfielder, Aitana Bonmati is regularly on the scoresheet for Spain and a strong campaign from the Ballon d'Or winner will make her a strong contender.

Europe boasts some of the most promising young talent in women's football and will undoubtedly be on full display next summer. Each nation is nurturing its stars for the next generation, and some could take center stage at the Euros.
In the ranks of England, Manchester UnitedGrace Clinton and Manchester CityJess Park have impressed under the direction of Sarina Wiegman recently. The Netherlands and Chelsea Midfielder Wieke Kaptein is also making waves this season.
The 19-year-old started both of Holland's friendlies against China and the USA during the international break and is making a splash at Chelsea under Sonia Bompastor. It could be a big tournament for the youngster.
