Brighton & Hove Albion have expressed an interest in signing Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo, a report has revealed.
Chelsea signed Tosi on a free tRANSFER in the summer when his Fulham contract expired, but the 27-year-old has failed to hold down a place in Enzo Maresca's starting line-up and has fallen below academy graduate Josh Acheampong in the pecking order in recent weeks.
Having started just seven times in the Premier League this season, Tosin has received an approach from Brighton, with POST stating there is a strong interest in luring the centre-back away from Stamford Bridge this month.
Only if Chelsea will it entertain a start for Tosi remains to be seen. Most of his starts have come due to injuries to Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile, but despite the French pair's fitness struggles, Chelsea are still well stocked at the back.
Levi Colwill is a regular starter and has been joined in the heart of defense by 18-year-old Acheampong in recent weeks. Tosin has operated as cover alongside Axel Disasi, while both Trevoh Chalobah and Aaron Anselmino have been withdrawn from the respective loans with Crystal Palace and Boca Juniors.
From the pack, reports suggest Chelsea want to part ways with Disas, but the Blues could be tempted by the chance to make an instant profit from Tosin, who was signed for nothing just seven months ago.
