Batsman for Bangladesh National Cricket Team Litton Das expressed his desire to become the permanent captain of the T20I team.
Litton Das said he enjoys leading the Bangladesh team and if the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) asks him to take up the role full-time, he would gladly accept.

BCB are eyeing the captain for the long term
Najmul Hossain Shanto is the captain for all formats of the Bangladesh national cricket team. He had expressed his desire to give up the captaincy to improve his performance.
The star batsman sent a message to the Bangladesh Cricket Board about his refusal to lead the T20I team before deciding otherwise. After BCB president Faruque Ahmed's involvement in the matter, Najmual Hossain Shanto was appointed as the team's captain in the three-match ODIs. series against Afghanistan and agreed to continue as captain for all formats.
However, he suffered a groin injury in that series and was ruled out of the subsequent all-format series against the West Indies. Mehidy Hasan Miraz he led the team in the Test and ODI series against West Indies, while the selection committee trusted Litton Das to lead the team in the T20I series.
Bangladesh managed to level the Test series 1-1 but were whitewashed 0-3 in the ODI series. However, under the leadership of Litton Das, they made a strong comeback and registered a 3-0 win in the T20I series.
As far as captaincy is concerned, if BCB asks me to lead then I am ready to do it – Litton Das
Litton, who previously led the team before being dropped, said he is ready to become Bangladesh's full-time skipper in the T20I format despite his terrible form with the bat.
“In terms of captaincy, if BCB asks me to lead, then I'm ready to do it because there's no reason (not to do it) and I'm happy about it,” Litton told reporters after the win, as quoted by Cricbuzz.
“I take a lot of decisions on the field from the experience of playing for so long and the skill the bowlers have developed makes it easier to run the show on the field.
“As a captain, I never said you give everything (on the field). All I said was that they (Western Rings) are a better side and on their day they can wreak havoc on their home ground and so the information was as we will. go and enjoy the cricket and whatever the result we will take it with a smiling face and try to fulfill our responsibility,” he said.

Litton Das further praised the Bangladesh bowlers for their performance in the West Indies tour. He stated that both spinners and pacers have done a good job in all the three formats.
“Overall if I have to say our bowling attack was outstanding and the way they played across three formats, both the bowlers and the spinners. I was behind the wickets and I was feeling good as every batsman was fighting,” he said.
“The thing is, if the bowlers do well, behind the wickets, it becomes easier for me, and like I said, the bowlers know what kind of fielding they need, so it's easy for me.”
Litton Das also admitted that Team Bangladesh does not have a destructive batting unit but a balanced one that can post decent totals that the bowlers can defend.
“Look, they're a better side and I'd say on their home ground they're a good side too. But when five bowlers do well and from top to bottom we have a balanced batting unit – I won't say we have a destructive batting unit but we have a balanced side – and if we can put some runs on the board, I feel the bowlers he's developing his skills and every game he's taking responsibility on his own set up and learning a lot of things and I feel that's a good sign,” he said
