The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the schedule for the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025. The third season will begin on February 14 with the opening match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Giants and will end with the title. match on March 15 in Mumbai.
WPL 2025 will be hosted in four cities: Baroda, Bengaluru, Lucknow and Mumbai. The home and away format is not set, but the league has expanded its coverage from previous editions. Notably, the first leg will be played in Vadodara, which will host six matches before the action shifts to Bengaluru.
Mumbai will host the WPL 2025 final on March 15
Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium, which hosted the first half of the second season, will host eight matches in the season. The tournament will then move to Lucknow for four matches. The final phase, which includes the last two league matches, the knockout and the final, will be held in Mumbai.
Mumbai's Brabourne Stadium, which hosted the inaugural WPL final, will also host the key matches of the WPL 2025 season. The league phase concludes on March 11 with a match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The eliminator is set for March 13, followed by the final on March 15.
The WPL 2025 Playoffs follow the same format as the previous season, with the top team qualifying directly for the finals. The second and third place teams will compete in the Eliminator for a place in the grand final, scheduled for March 15. All matches in the tournament will be single-headers.
