Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou revealed that Spurs had been interested in securing a loan move. deal on Paris Saint-Germain's pursuit of striker Randal Kolo Muani, but insisted a concrete move was never close.
The French forward was stopped by PSG coach Luis Enrique at the end of last season. As it became clear that his immediate future would be outside of Paris, Kolo Muani was strongly linked with Manchester United and Tottenham.
However, Juventus seems to have won the race for the versatile striker, who is expected to announce his loan deal immediately.
When Postecoglou was told that the striker's loss was a huge loss, the Australian manager's response was an emphatic: “No”.

“It's tricky as all clubs are finding it and I think it traditionally picks up in the final week so we're getting there for all clubs,” the head coach explained.
“The club is working as hard as it can and that's all you can ask for. January is not an easy month, but I know a lot of work is being done behind the scenes to get some reinforcements.
“It's not disappointment. It would be disappointment and frustration if the club didn't work hard, but they did. It's an easy word to say, but I know how hard the club has worked behind the scenes to do something , but it is not easy.
“You need agreements from three different parties. Sometimes when you're in our situation, other clubs understand that and try to make the most of it.”
