According to reports, Shakib Al Hasan is facing legal trouble after a case was filed against him and three others by IFIC Bank on December 15, accusing them of failing to honor their commitment to transfer 4.14 million BDT (approximately INR 3 million) through two cheques. .
A Dhaka court has issued an arrest warrant against Shakib in connection with the case. The warrant was issued by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ziadur Rahman and named Shakib along with his company Al Hasan Agro Farm Ltd. Manager Shahgir Hussain, Director Imdadul Haque and Malaikar Begum.
Quoting the case statement, Cricbuzz reported that it “also implicated Shakib's company Al Hasan Agro Farm Ltd., its managing director Gazi Shahagir Hossein and directors Emdadul Haque and Malaikar Begum. Shakib's company borrowed funds from IFIC Bank's Banani branch at various times. . The checks in question were issued to repay part of the loans but were dishonored due to insufficient funds.”
