The event will be shown live on PBV on Prime Video PPV. The undercard steals the show Some fans call the award the undercard “Mexican Loma,” Jose 'Rayo' Valenzuela, defends against Gary Antoine Russell in a fight that is interesting enough to be the main event of this card. As previously revealed, WBA light heavyweight champion Jose 'Rayo' Valenzuela (14-2, 9 KOs) will be defeated by Gary Antoine Russell (17-1, 17 KOs) in the co-main event. Rayo is making his first defense of his newly won WBA belt which he took over from Isaac Cruz on August 3 last year. WBC light welterweight champion Alberto Puello (22-0, 10 KO) face mandatory Sandor Martin (42-3, 15 Os) in a 12-round fight. Yoenis Tellez (19-0, 7 KO) faces the well-known 34-year-old veteran Julian Williams (29-4, 17 KOs) for the WBA interim junior middleweight title. This will be the first fight of the PPV portion of the card at PBC on PPV. Three years ago in Madison Square Garden in New York, the Spaniard Sandor Martin was incredible in his fight against Teofimo Lopez. He lost by split decision in 10 rounds in a fight that many boxing fans believed he had won on December 10, 2022. The judges gave it to New York's Theo, but the boxing public saw it as a good old-fashioned hometown decision. Even Teofimo knew he had lost, for he was heard to say, “Have I still got?” “I'm here to show the world what it means to be great,” said Jose 'Rayo' Valenzuela. “Bring me your fiercest, and I will restore their heads. On March 1st I will get a win against Gary Antoine Russell and cement my legacy in the super lightweight division. Don't miss it, because I'm trying to let everyone know where I stand at 140 pounds.” Click here to subscribe to our FREE newsletter Related news: Boxing news 24 » Davis-Roach Undercard Better Than Main Event?
