Fernando Barbosa was scheduled to be one of the three judges on fight night, but was unable to travel to Riyadh due to illness, which split the respective teams of fighters between officials Steve Weisfeld and Robles.

There was controversy at the Usyk vs. Fury 2 rules meeting after it was revealed that third referee Fernando Barboza had resigned due to illness. Rival camps are divided over who should replace him.
The WBO, WBA and WBC championships, which Usyk won from Fury in their first fight, will be on the line.
Another key point of contention ahead of the fight is the length of Fury's beard, with Usyk's team wondering if that could actually cushion the blow.

Tyson Fury weighed in at a career-best 281 pounds, but the former heavyweight champion refused to take off any clothes, leaving questions about his true weight.
Fury is not required to shave it for the fight, but Usyk's camp is adamant that he should be cut.

The WBC rules clearly state: 'A boxer may have a trimmed beard and/or mustache as long as, in the discretion of the committee and supervisors, the thickness of the facial hair does not: (1) mitigate or in any way affect the impact or trajectory of the impact or (2) cause cuts or scrapes to your rival;
“So,” Krasjuk continued, “Tyson's beard needs to be trimmed. We're going to push it further.”
However, the WBC has “no problem” with the length of Fury's beard.
