Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Matheus Cunha remains open to a move away from the club this month, according to a report.
Cunha has considerable interest in his services after scoring ten goals and four assists this season, with both Arsenal AND Manchester United are thought to be interested in a big-money move for the Brazilian.
A verbal agreement has been reached on a new contract for Cunha with Wolves, but he is now thought to be reluctant to put pen to paper and Fabrizio Romano has discovered that the situation is very “open”.
Things have been further complicated by some harsh words from Wolves manager Vitor Pereira, who was unimpressed with Cunha's performance in the 3-1 defeat to Chelsea on Monday.
“He is a captain. He can be frustrated because he wants to win, but everyone in the dressing room wants to win. I don't like his body language,” Pereira said. “I understand now, I won't understand next time.”
However, Pereira emphasized that he does not believe that Cunha's head has been turned by the interest in his services.
“He is committed to Wolves,” insisted Pereira. “But in your life, when you start hearing that other clubs (are interested)… he's human and it's normal in football.”
Daily Mail state Nottingham Forest have identified Cunha as their top transfer target for the remainder of the winter window, with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur also thought to have expressed an interest.
