Winning the toss and electing to bat, Australia scored 162/5 in their 20 overs, thanks to a knock from Beth Mooney. The opener capped off the innings with an unbeaten 94 in 63 matches, breaking 10 boundaries in his dominant run. Mooney's superb performance ensured that Australia overcame a slow start and capitalized in the latter half of the innings.

The downfall of England's batting

Danielle Wyatt scored 17, but the rest of the batsmen failed against a strong Australian attack.
Georgia Wareham is Australia's standout bowler, delivering 4-0-11-3. Darcie Brown (2/25) and Annabel Sutherland (1/14) applied the pressure, while Tahlia McGrath (1/4) and Megan Schutt (1/17) chipped in with important wickets.

For her unbeaten 93-run knock, Beth Mooney was adjudged Player of the Match. His innings was brilliant in terms of shot selection, as he carried the Australian batting on his shoulders and set a target that fell well short of England.
