Hansi Flick has seen a lot, but even he admitted that Barcelona's comeback triumph against Benfica was unlike anything he has experienced before.
Barca's victory in Lisbon it was one of those inexplicable successes. It was a game Flick's side had no right to win, but Raphinha's late strike saw the Catalans overturn a 4-2 deficit. It wasn't the 'Remontada' in terms of significance, but victory will allow them to rest somewhat on Wednesday night with their place in Champions League round of 16 safe.
So, not much is expected to change from Tuesday night's squad, with Flick reluctant to wait and change in recent weeks.
Here's how Barcelona could line up against a resurgent Valencia on Sunday night.
GK: Inaki Pena – Wojciech Szczesny was one of the many agents of chaos in Lisbon, and he has certainly played himself out of the squad. Inaki Pena will return on Sunday.
RB: Jules Kounde – Kounde continues to find himself in dangerous positions in the final third, although he was unable to improve on his goal tally during the week. However, the Frenchman has been a standout performer for Barca this season.
CB: Ronald Araujo – The captain remains vulnerable in possession and he was barely covered in glory on Tuesday night. However, Barcelona has committed to him and he will keep his place at the center of Flick's defence.
CB: Pau Cubarsi – Cubarsi takes on even greater responsibilities in possession when alongside Araujo. Inigo Martinez is absent, while Andreas Christensen has barely been seen since recovering from injury.
LB: Alejandro Balde – It's been a while since we've seen Balde at his best, but the Spanish left-back has been excellent in recent weeks and has shown signs of rediscovering his pre-Achilles form.
CM: Marc Casado – Rest has been scarce for Casado since his integration, but Flick should offer him a breather next week when Barcelona will host Atalanta in the last stage of the league.
CM: Peter – The jovial Spaniard played a key role in Barca's fightback across the peninsula on Tuesday, and he is said to be closing in on a contract extension which will no doubt come with a ridiculous release clause.
RM: Lamine Yamal – Tuesday was a rare night for Yamal, who is still capable of wreaking havoc when off-color. The teenager has not scored any goals League since the end of October.
AM: Gavi – Dani Olmo is a doubt with a calf injury and Fermin Lopez will be expected to have a proper outing against Atalanta. We're all enjoying Gavi's reinvention as a more advanced midfielder in Flick's lineup.
LM: Raphinha – Tuesday night's hero has come to the fore so often for Barcelona this season. Whisper it, but is the Brazilian playing with himself The fight for the Ballon d'Or?
ST: Robert Lewandowski – The veteran striker scored twice as Barca hit back from a goal down in the reverse fixture. Lewandowski has six goals in four games against Valencia.
